Bio

Rob Oliver is a Virginia–based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends blues, rock, and Americana with soul and sincerity. A seasoned performer, Rob sings and plays guitar, bass, and harmonica, performing both as a solo artist and fronting his electric trio, Rob Oliver & The Attractors. His live sets balance heartfelt original songs with thoughtfully reimagined covers spanning decades and genres. Rob is proudly endorsed by S.I.T. Strings and Shubb Capos, and regularly performs using Pig Hog Cables.

A steady force in the Hampton Roads music scene for over 25 years, Rob has built a reputation for engaging, professional performances shaped by years of live experience. His debut album, Highs & Lows & Blues (2020), earned critical praise and local award recognition, helping establish him as a respected regional artist and songwriter. In recent years, he has continued releasing a steady stream of original singles—including “Bound to Thee,” “Tennessee,” and many others—further defining his evolving sound and expanding his catalog.

In 2021, Rob teamed up with fellow musician Brent Gable to form The Oliver Gable Project, a blues-rooted collaboration that earned the 2022 Veer Music Award for Best Blues.

In addition to his own projects, Rob has toured nationally with major concert productions, including Evil Woman – The American ELO, touring with Broadway and recording artist Katie Deal, and The Brian Grilli Band. These touring roles have brought him to theaters and venues across the country and continue to inform his adaptable approach as a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist.

Whether performing locally or on the road, Rob brings a dynamic mix of originals and crowd favorites to clubs, theaters, private events, and festivals—always focused on serving the song, the room, and the moment.
